What breed are Jitterbug's Puppies?
Jitterbug is a Rat Terrier.  We are not sure what was breed of the Father.  The puppies are of mixed origin.

You stated that Jitterbug was not in good health.  Are these puppies going to have health problems?
The puppies' progress has been closely monitored by a Vet.  So far we see no problems.  We do know that they must be on heartworm preventative for the remainder of their lives because they will be more vulnerable.

How much are you going to charge?
We would very much like to offset some of the cost of care, this has been an unexpected expense for us.  So ideally, we would like a $100 fee, but we are more interested in finding the puppies good homes with people who will guarantee that they will be indoor dogs and receive regular vet care.

Will there be a screening process?
Yes. I care very dearly for these 4 little puppies and want to ensure that they will go to a good loving home. We're looking for homes that will provide them the proper medical treatment, vaccines and preventatives to help ensure they live a long happy life.

When will they be available?
The puppies are ready for placement in their new homes now pending an approved application and successful meet and greet.

Do these dogs shed?
Considering the puppies young age and breed mixture that is unknown we cannot answer this question with any certainty. However Jitterbug is a prolific shedder and shedding is even prominent more during the warm summer months. I however do feel safe saying that they will shed to some degree.

How big will the puppies get?
With the young age of the puppies and the uncertainity of the breed of the father there is no way to gauge how big the puppies will be. Rough Current weights can be provided upon request.

Are the shots up to date?
Yes. The puppies received their first round of shots on July 5, 2011 and the second round was given on August 1. They will be due for their third and final round on August 28.  They have also been started on Heartguard and given doses on June 20, July 18 and August 18. They have also been started on frontline as of July 18.

Can I meet the puppies before making a decision?
Yes if you are interested in meeting the puppies. A meet and greet can be arranged please use the contact form and provide what area you live in and days and times that work well for you.

How old are the puppies?
They were born on May 9, 2011. They are currently 14 weeks old.

The puppies are currently for adoption in the Los Angeles area.
