Appliant Letter
Dear Puppy Applicant:
Thank you for inquiring about adopting one of Jitterbug’s puppies. Each one
of these puppies is very special to me, so I intend to be very careful in
placing the puppies. Please be patient as I determine both, which puppy is right
for you and which home is best for each puppy. Due to the fact that their mother
was a rescue, it is important to me that the special needs that could arise for
these puppies will be fully understood by the new homes. In short, I want to
ensure that these puppies never know the type of life that their mother did at
her young age.
These puppies are predominantly terriers, so if you are not very familiar
with terrier behavior, I would highly advise you to do some reading and studying
up on terriers prior to submitting this application. Definitely be sure that a
terrier would be a good fit in your family's lifestyle. They can be tenacious
and challenging, but rewarding dogs that I fully recognize aren’t right for
everyone.
If you are ready to proceed, you may have certain desires about a specific
dog you wish to adopt, but each puppy also has different personalities and
different needs. My goal is to make the best match possible and to find each
puppy the right home. Consequently, I ask you to be as thorough as possible in
completing this adoption application. Please also be aware that only under very
specialized circumstances will I agree to place one of these dogs in a home with
a child under the age of six.
I will require that a binding agreement covering care of the puppy be signed
by the person who adopts her. The adoption agreement stipulates that in the
event that you should not be able to continue to provide the dog a home, the
Puppy must be returned to Stephenie Galvan. I will also require that each puppy
be spayed or neutered.
Our adoption process involves the following steps:
1. You complete and submit the adoption application,
2. I will receive and review your application,
3. You and any other adoption candidates meet the Puppies,
4. Pending a successful visit and approval of all paperwork, final adoption
papers are signed and,
6. When the puppies are ready to be placed, the puppy will become part of
your family.
Due to vet and care expenses, I am requiring an adoption fee of at least
$100.00 at the time of adoption.
Please follow up with me if you become no longer interested in a puppy or if
your information changes. Your patience is appreciated.
